Avenger’s Banshee is a fearsome, heavy-duty cine lighting support designed and developed in collaboration with some of the industry’s most respected grip and lighting professionals. Designed and built in Italy to the highest quality standards, to provide a compact folding, easily transportable wind-up stand that achieves a maximum height of 3.4m / 11.1ft and boasts an impressive maximum payload of 120kg / 265lbs.

We know maximizing the space on a grip truck can sometimes be a ghoulish task. However, the Banshees’ compact folded footprint of 63.5cm x 46cm / 25in x 18.1in, along with its nestable design for optimized storage and truck transport, makes it one of the most compact heavy-duty wind-up stands available.

The highly durable black anodised and powder-coated finish of the column and base, paired with the iconic Avenger blue anodised legs and offset profile design, not only gives the Banshee its devilishly good looks but is ideal for helping it blend into the background and help to reduce reflections on set.

Manoeuvring the Banshee around the set is both safe and easy thanks to its multi-direction lockable braked wheels and puncture-proof foam-filled tyres with chunky treads for smooth undulating surfaces and innovative dual ergonomic transportation handles allows easy movement of the stand WITHOUT carts, for use in both folded and set-up modes.

Like some of Avenger’s other industry-leading lighting wind-up stands, the Banshee benefits from a dual-handled crank and chain-driven column with safety lock, which means the mounted fixture can be raised and lowered quickly. In addition, the simple one-movement setup of the legs and base is fast, convenient, and ready to use in seconds.

The 28mm / 1-1/8in junior receiver combined with the 120kg / 265lb max payload means the Banshee is well equipped to support the industry’s heaviest lights. Its adjustable levelling leg for uneven surfaces and wind brace tie-down mounting points on the column make it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

Other key specifications include the wide footprint of 1.6m / 5.3ft which provides optimum stability as well as plenty of clearance moving around set, a lowest extension of 1.3m / 4.4ft to make loading the fixture safe and convenient and the maximum extension of 3.4m / 11.1ft providing plenty of reach.

The Avenger B6039CS in chrome steel is an amazing wind-up stand capable of easily lifting and lowering loads of 30kg/66.1lbs with its 3 sections and 2 risers up to heights of 370cm/145.7in and as low as 181cm/71.3in. The Avenger B150-1 Strato Safe Crank Up Stand is a beast of a stand with exceptional performance. This stand has a humorous industry nickname and it is used commonly by grips and gaffers worldwide. It is built-in Chrome Steel and Gravity Cast aluminum, comprising of 4 Risers and 5 sections. This stand surpasses industry requirements for safe operation and is part of the Strato Safe family that can lift heavy loads up to 100kg/220 lbs. Each section uses a uniquely designed gearbox that uses a ratchet crank handle to safely raise each riser into place. The ratchet crank handle can conveniently be stored at the top casting of the stand and is always available when needed. Hard Rubber braked wheels are sold with this stand and allow for easy moving in-studio and across many smooth to different textured surfaces.
